An Adult Developmental Home provides support to an adult with developmental disabilities who cannot live with his or her own family. Adult Developmental Homes specializes on giving individualized care to adults age (18-99). The Providers give care to adults with Developmental Disabilities who need assistance in the Activities of Daily living and individualized goals as they work towards achieving independence. The Agency and their Providers work conjointly with Members’ family (if applicable) and DDD personnel to ensure that these individuals receive the care that they need. The Providers ensure that they attend to Members’ Medical and dental appointments, Speech, Occupational, behavior therapy if needed.
The Providers assist the Members and educate them on how to manage their finances, with strong family involvement to ensure that the adult is receiving the specialized care he or she needs. Adults placed by DDD are usually long term because there is typically a need for a permanent home. The Adult Developmental Home program specifically places adults, ages 18 and older that have been diagnosed with a developmental disability. These developmental disabilities include: Intellectual Disabilities, Cerebral Palsy, Autism and Epilepsy.
Our Adult Developmental Home (ADH) Program ensures an adult with special needs is placed when in need of a home whether for the short or long term. While staying with us, we offer a wide range of services to enhance the physical, emotional, and mental well-being of the individual in a family home setting.
